Hon. Mumin Olalekan Tajudeen was born in 1992 in Oluyole Local Government Area, Ibadan, Oyo State. His family originates from Ikija, a historic town near Aba Nla, within Oluyole Local Government Area. This deep-rooted connection to the land and people of Oluyole has continued to shape his values, identity, and passion for grassroots development.

He was raised in a politically conscious and community-oriented family, which laid the foundation for his interest in leadership, service, and civic responsibility from an early age.

MOT’s political journey began in 2002, when he regularly accompanied his father to political meetings, community consultations, and grassroots engagements. Through this early exposure, he developed a strong appreciation for participatory politics and people-centered leadership. These formative experiences gradually nurtured his passion for public service and marked the beginning of his political career.

During his secondary school years, he became a bonafide member of the Alliance for Democracy (AD), aligning himself early with progressive ideology, democratic values, and good governance. His involvement at a young age demonstrated discipline, loyalty, and ideological clarity.
